We are Still Holding TD Club Meetings

Good evening Cougar Fans!!

It seems there has been some confusion in the past weeks about whether or not we were still holding TD Club meetings. I wanted to let everyone know, Yes we are!!! You bet!! There have been a few cancellations but solely due to the fact that Coach McCready had personal matters to attend to and a holiday thrown in there makes three.

Parents Meeting

These meetings are for you to stay in touch with the coaches and up on your son's development in the program. This is big. Come out every chance you can to check up on their progress and development.

Playoffs!!!

Also....Yes, we are wrapping up the season and WE ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS!! If you didn't have the chance to come out and support your athlete and the team this past Friday, please don't forget this Friday's 2nd round playoff game against LCA.

We will be playing the 2nd round of playoffs against LCA @ LCA's home field. They are the #1 seed in their region and get to host the game. The game starts at 7:30pm. We want every parent, grandparent, cousin, 2nd cousin and next door neighbor to come out and support Covenant Cougars Varsity Football.

The Covenant Cougars Varsity Football program is vying for their 2nd Championship in as many years. That is a major, major, major accomplishment considering our short past in the sport. Coach McCready and his coaching staff have really made an impact on the athletes and the program at CCA. We need to consider the tremendous effort they have done on our behalf. We will be playing our in-town rivals, LCA. Our varsity football players and cheerleaders NEED you there to cheer them along. In case you didn't know it, they can really hear the Cougar Fans when we cheer.

Low Turnout :-(

We had a very small turnout for out first round playoff game against YACS where your Varsity Cougars Football team won 28 - 13. The score does not tell the whole story. It was a hard fought game, unlike the first two meetings. If you were not there, you truly missed a match up. I understand that there are other matters in family and life that prevents us from attending, that is OK, but if you have any chance to attend your athlete's games, believe you me, he is going to notice you are there and take it to heart.

Moving in a better direction...

Check your emails and the CCA TD Club Blog for improved updates the rest of the season. There is a fantastic chance we can win the championship once again and there will be a celebration like none other this year. Please make a conscious decision to be a part of it. Celebrate with your athlete and make memories.

Yep, we are gearing up to sell game DVD's and we want you to know. We will have a limited number of DVD's for each game played to date available for purchase for $5 per DVD at this Thursday's game against LCA. In aticipation of your desire for copies for the season, please go out to the TD Club website (http://cca-tdclub.blogspot.com) and select the link "2010 DVD Order Form" in the Get Connected section on the left hand side of the page or click here. Fill out the form and let us know what you want for the season. Feel free to pick up the DVD's at games or future TD Club meetings. We do anticipate providing DVD's for all games for the remainder of the season.

Don't forget your 2010 CCA Varsity Football Cougars collector's DVD set. Available for a limited time only.

Don't forget that each DVD is $5. All nine regular season games can be purchased for $35, a savings of $10. However, you must go online to the CCA TD Club website and specify your order. This will be the only way we can track your order through the season. Post season games will be sold individually.

Payment must be made to myself or Ellen Atkinson. Don't forget, you must go online and fill out the DVD order form unless you plan to purchase at the games.

Good morning Cougar Fans.

I hope this email finds everyone well and anticipating another exciting game. Tonight's game is a home game and most of you know we need volunteers to show up and help out.

I want to thank all those that have contributted this year. Those that haven't, all is not lost. Let's start tonight.

Load'em Up

We need some folks to come to the school early to help load and pack equipment, food, etc around 3:30 or 4:00. If we have many hands, it shouldn't take more than an hour to get things ready.

Move'em Out

Next we need folks to accompany us to the field shortly after and help us setup. About 4:30ish or 5:30ish if you can show up. Come when you can though. We have tents, tables, grills, gate, banners, flags, and field items that need to be setup. Please come out and let's fellowship, work hard and get everything ready for our athletes and the coaches. The focus is making sure the athletes and coaches are taken care of and have a fantastic Cougar experience.

Feed'em and they will keep Coming

Yep, if you have been scheduled to work concessions or gate tonight, don't forget. You are critical to the success of tonights activities. Seriously. You better believe that most people look forward to that football game hamburger or Papa John's Pizza.

Don't forget to attend our TD Club meeting tomorrow night at 6:30pm. You don't want to miss this one. It will be the first TD Club meeting after our first game in the 11-man conference. CCA TD Club Meeting! First for the Year

CCA Family,

Don't miss our first Touchdown Club meeting tomorrow night at 6:00pm right after practice. This will be the first of the year and your opportunity to talk to the Coaches about the upcoming season. We will have a TD Club meeting every Monday night at 6:00pm until the end of the season unless otherwise notified. Please come out and support the TD Club and your football team.

Don't forget that there are still a number of areas we can really use your help in. If you haven't ever helped out, you can never know the level of effort it takes to pull off a football game, home or away. Please dont' stay on the sidelines, get into the game and make a difference. CCA Football Pictures Friday!

Announcement...

This Friday will be picture day for the football team. Coach will be taking the football players to the home field in Monroe for pictures this Friday. They will be taking the bus to the field and returning to CCA at 5:30pm. Athletes will be issued their team uniforms for this event, if not already.

Please insure your son is present this Friday. All players need to show up this Friday for practice whether you are varsity or not. If any of this changes based on the middle or JV teams, we will let you know. If you have any questions, please contact Coach, Ellen Atkinson or I. We will do everything we can to get an answer if not already known.

For those of you who don't know me, my name is J Hardee and I have served as the TD Club President for the past two years and am co-chairing on the Booster club with Ellen Atkinson representing the football program this year. I have the dubious honor of "heading up" the TD Club or Parent Support Group this year again.

My reason for tonight's email is to let our new parents and seasoned parents alike know that I need folks to help us make the season a success. I realize each of you have already invested quite a bit to have your athlete play football this season. I am asking you to invest more. More of your time that is. Many hands make for a light load.

With the new athletic department and booster club structure, some things are changing from an organizational standpoint, but for the most part, we still need you to fill critical roles this season. I am requesting that you call me or email me if you are willing to fill the roles listed below. Your time is most needed and important to the success of this year's football season. It goes without saying that parent volunteers are critical to the success of the season and your own athlete's experience. I do not say this lightly.

My personal goal is to insure, first, the athletes are well taken care of so they are not concerned about little things during their preparation for games and, secondly, the Coaches have what they need to succeed on the field.

Time is of the utmost concern seeing our first game is on the 20th of August and is a home game. We need parents in their roles very very soon. Pray, and pray some more regarding serving in any of the roles below. Know that you will not be alone, especially if you are new or serving in the role for the first time. It can be a very rewarding experience.

Facilities Director - Responsible for communications regarding schedule and requirements between team and facility management. Responsible for total preparation of the facility for the game and after the game. I will be working closely with the Facilities Director. Remember, you are not an island, you will be coordinating with other Directors on crossover items and will have the active support and direction of Joe McKinnon, a valuable asset at every game. There is a lot to do each home game day, but there is some field preparations needed before the first home game as well.

Some of the duties include...
Hanging signage at front gate, on the stands, etc.
Tent/Table/Concessions Trailer (Papa Johns) setup/access (will work with the Game Day Director on the the trailer)
Seating for the Student Section
Parking
Field setup including markers, painting, benches, tables, etc. for home and visitors
Bathroom setup/cleanup
Back gate access for Cougars, visiting team, Drumline, handicap, etc.
Game Board
Announcing equipment
Cleanup

Four to Five volunteers to work with the Facilities Director is critical. More will definitely be accepted.

Game Day Director - Responsible for the coordination of gate and concessions, overseeing concessions schedule and coordination of transportation. Work closely with the Facilities Director for each game, home or away.

Our Game Day Director is Gina Moore. Let's be sure to thank Gina for her support in this area, especialy by voluteering to assist her in carrying out this role.

Some of the duties include...

Concessions Scheduling - You will work with the Director and Booster Club to set schedule

Food Ordering
Papa Johns Sponsorship
Loading/Unloading Concessions Trailer - need volunteers at the school as early as possible for home games to load concession food and supplies.

Three to four volunteers to work with the Director.

Sports Information Director - Responsible for publicizing the team in local papers, school website updates, school publications. Will make sure articles are presented to Walton Tribune, Gwinnett Post and AJC. Coordinate picture History for season and development of Game programs.

The director will need folks in specific areas to make the load light. Not all of these tasks can be filled by one person. Please seriously consider helping here. Especially if you have a nack for telling a story.

Some of the duties include...
Game Summary Writer (may be Media Coordinator too)
Media Coordinator - reporting game summary to all newspapers/radio outlets along with scores as well as coordinating any updates or stats on the CCA Website and Prep Sports.
Photographer(s) - need someone to coordinate with the school or server personally to record the game in picture. Coordinate a picture history video for end of season. There will be someone to assist with this from the school if needed.
Game Videographer - Responsible for filming the game for Coaches Game Film primarily. Preparing game DVD's for coach(es) and parents as time permits. - J Hardee
Media Graphics - Football Program, fliers, graphics, etc. - J Hardee, Ellen Atkinson, Skip Argo

Volunteers needed (in addition to the Facilities Director)
Five to six volunteers would be most helpful.

Final Thoughts

Parents, please don't be intimidated by the level of effort it may take to serve in any capacity. If we don't get adequate support from you; parents that just can't let things go undone, will have to double up their time. While you may get the to watch the game unencumbered, the few will sacrifice and miss out altogether. Let's not do that to our fellow parents. If you don't directly serve in one of the roles above, if you can be on hand to provide whatever support possible, it would be greatly valued and appreciated. I want parents to know I am very passionate about making the load light so that we all can experience and participate in our son's football games. Please try. I promise you, you will succeed. And CCA, the coaches, and most notably our athletes, your son or sons, will be all the more better for it. Please contact me to discuss the possibilities. Step out onto the field and get into the game.

Hey Cougar Football Fans!

Just a reminder folks about tomorrow's Kickoff Cookout. We will be cookin tomorrow and we plan on cookin this season. Come out and enjoy a great time of food and fellowship with our 2010 CCA Cougars Football Team and Coaches as well as parents and family galore.

Don't forget to bring a side dish for your family plus one adult along with a 2 liter soda. CCA will do the cookin of the hamburgers and hotdogs.

Festivities begin at 5:30pm right after practice. This year, we are holding the cookout inside the gym. If you can find time before, during or after, we could use some volunteers to make it all happen. This is each parents opportunity to "Get in the Game". Don't sit on the sidelines. Get in there and meet some new folks and enjoy yourself.

We will need folks to help us out this Friday at the Annual Season Kickoff Cookout.

We will begin setup and cooking around 4:00pm with a start time of 5:30 for the cookout. Anybody who can show up at 4:00 to help would be welcomed.

CCA Football Summer Schedule

Spring Training

The CCA football team will finish out the Spring Training session this week. Coach is considering a Friday practice or not. He will let us know.

4th of July Break

There will not be any practice next week, the week leading up to the 4th of July. Coach will provide the team with information about continuing their training for next week even though we are not meeting.

Summer Conditioning Practice

Practice will pick up on July 5th and run through the end of summer and leading up into official football practice. Practice times will stay the same, 8:00am - 9:30am every morning. If there are any adjustments, Coach will let us know. Summer practice sessions will consist of conditioning and fundamentals. This is a valuable time for the athletes to train their minds and bodies for the upcoming season. Last year we won because of our mental and physical fitness over our opponents. We simply lasted longer and played smarter.

Physicals

I understand there will be a doctor at the school I believe on the 15th and 22nd of July for physicals. I do not remember the cost or times for sure. I believe $15 per athlete and they will be at 5:30pm in the evening. Please check with Coach McCready to confirm. If I get the details firmed up, I will post the info on the TD Club Website (see below) and send out emails.

Start of Official Practice

First day of official practice allowed by the conference is August 2nd. This is in shorts and helmets only. First official practice allowed in full pads by the conference begins August 7th. The 7th is a Saturday but this doesn't mean Coach will have practice beginning on this day. We will provide more information as we get closer.

Official First Game

The first day of official games is August 20th. Right now we don't have a game scheduled to start the season on the 20th. Our first official game according to the conference is September 3rd. However, I am told there is a 9th game scheduled that hasn't been posted. I am waiting on the ICSGA website to be updated.

TD Club Activities

We will have another parents meeting coming up shortly. We are thinking about having it the week of July 5th. Not sure yet. We will also have an end of summer cookout meet and greet near the end of July. Among other things.

Also on the schedule to start up are the regular TD Club meetings for parents. Please come out and hear what plans the Coach has for the season and have him answer any questions you may have.

CCA TD Club Parent Volunteers (Parent Support Groups)

As you can see below, we have a number of areas that need volunteers to serve during the season to insure the games, especially the home games, go off well. We owe it to our athletes to make this a great experience. We can do a whole lot with very little if we have the volunteers to help. While I have listed some main areas for leaders, these areas need a lot of support from parents.

I ask every parent to get involved and plugged in somewhere. Please help us make this memorable for your son. These directors are responsible for all levels of football at CCA. From the middle school to the Varsity level. So volunteers are asbolutely a requirement.

For those who are new, I want to let you know that the cornerstone to any good organization is communications. While there is always room for improvement in this area, we have taken steps to provide a central source of up-to-date information.

This year you will receive information in various formats and from different sources. Either way, the TD Club will endeavor to make sure the information is posted for future reference.

You may get emails from the TD Club, from the school via Kay Britt or any one of our Athletic Directors. Coach McCready may even send out some emails. Information will be posted on CCA's website in the football section as well. Definitely the schedule with directions will be posted there.

For TD Club communications, we have setup the Touchdown Club Blog at http://cca-tdclub.blogspot.com. Here you can see posting as well as respond to the postings of recent events and/or communications. There are convenient links to sign up for various events and to be added to the TD Club email notifications.

Please use these resources to stay informed. If for any reason you can't find information you expect, please contact me and I will follow-up to get you the information you need.

There will be a number of opportunities and offerrings throughout the season. Among the offerings are DVDs from the games. Video from all the games will primarily be for game film and Coach McCready, but with time permitting, we'll try to make copies of the games available via DVD. This will be for the Varsity games only at this time. If we get volunteers to make the film and DVDs for the JV and Middle School teams, we will try to make those available as well.

Opportunity with Fast Feet Performance

Art from Fast Feet Performance has agreed to train those athletes interested through July 28. If you wish to participate, it is still not too late. We have held only one session with the 2nd session for this week to be tomorrow at 6:00am. Next week we will start back with three days per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Just show up and bring the attached paperwork.

We have yet to Begin...

We are just getting started CCA Family. This is going to be an exciting season. Please make sure you find some place to serve this season, especially if you haven't served yet. There is absolutely no way we can have a successful season without parent involvement. Please don't stay on the bench, get in the game. We really need you.

Practice Schedule

We will have football practice today from 3:15 to 4:30pm. The Soccer team has a game today and will be using the field. Practice schedule for the rest of the week will be at their normal times unless y ou receive notification otherwise.

State Championship Game

We are developing information as the week progresses. More exciting information to come.

I will tell you that we are home team. We however will not have to work concessions, chain gang, etc. We will have to man the press box (Skip and Jeff have this covered) and the gate entrance. The TD Club officers will be contacting parents to assist in this capacity. We will try to be as equitable as possible to afford all parents an opportunity to watch the game.

State Championship Playoff Details / Bus Trip to Auburn, AL

Here are the details we have thus far...

1. Bus will be leaving at 3:30pm on Friday, November 6, 2009 for Auburn, AL to play the Ballard Eagles

2. Arrive in Auburn, AL approximately 6:30pm Eastern, 5:30pm Central.

3. Arrive back in Loganville appoximately 12:00 midnight.

4. There will be approximately 55 seats available for reservation.

5. Currently have 17 reservations thus far.

6. Athletes, cheerleaders, coaches and managers ride Free.

7. Cost is still $20 per person

8. Please pay CCA at the front office by Friday. Payment will be accepted on Friday as well. Make all payments to CCA.

9. We are planning for pizza after the game on Friday in Auburn, AL.

11. Game time is 7:30 Eastern/6:30 Central.

Playoffs in Alabama - Tour Buses will be Taken

Playoff Bound ... to Auburn, AL to play the Ballard Eagles to see who goes to the State Championship!

Good morning everyone. Please help me get the word out.

We will be taking two tour buses to Auburn, AL to play the Ballard Eagles for the 2nd round State Playoffs.

Each bus will hold 57 people and we are crunching the numbers as we speak. Our primary goal is to insure each athlete and cheerleader (along with coaches and managers) have seating. There will be Limited seating for parents and family. We are, again, determining how many will be available after athletes, cheerleaders, managers and coaches. More information will be sent out later.

A webform has been setup for you to make your reservations/intentions known regarding a seat for you and your family. Please, if possible, use the webform. If you cannot get to the webform in a timely fashion, please email me at ccatdclub@gmail.com. I will input your information. Seating will be given first come first serve. Entry in the form does not guarantee a reservation/seat. I am using the term "reservation" because we will try to make sure everyone gets a seat and will use this information to do that, but we have limited seating outside of the athletes, cheerleaders, etc.

Pricing. Each seat will be $20. This includes athletes, cheerleaders, managers, coaches, parents, grandparents, cousins, next door neighbor, etc. We cannot afford to pay the cost of buses this year out-and-out. However, we will impose a $60 cap for all families. Families by definition are the immediate family, not grandparents, cousins, next door neighbors, etc. For example, If your family consists of mom, dad, brother and athlete, your family would only have to pay $60. If cousin and next door neighbor wanted to come as well, that would be an extra $40, $20 each. Each athlete, cheerleader, etc will have to pay a minimum of $20, whether parents/family are making a reservation on the buses or not.

Cougar Football Tonight! vs Grace - Playoff Implications

Game Tonight!

I want everyone to try to make the game tonight. This is a big game for us tonight. It is a region game and has an impact on the playoffs. If we win, our first game in the playoffs is a home game. Bring your Fan Towels, bring your noise makers, bring your lawn chairs, bring your umbrellas, bring your ponchos...Be prepared to cheer loudly and constantly tonight.

We are playing Grace tonight and they are currently, I believe, 3rd in our region.

Athlete Meal Today - Lasagna

The athlete dinner will be served today about 3:30pm or 4:00pm. We will be serving Lasagna. Please make a point to thank Amanda and the others who work hard to make sure you all have a warm and filling meal. And it is free, courtesy of the Touchdown Club. Let's not forget the blessings that God allows us to receive.

The team will leave CCA between 4:30 and 5:00pm today. Coach does not want to have the athletes sitting around after we get there and will make the final call along with Coach Watson shortly.

Game this Friday vs. Trinity

As a reminder, we have our next home game this Friday at Legion Field in Monroe at 7:00pm. Please note the game start time. This Friday's game may prove to be our first challenge of the season. Coach is very positive and we expect, of course, a positive result. Please come out and support your Cougars.

Make some Noise and Cheer

Remember to support your Cheerleaders too. They have spirit items and noisemakers that we need to take advantage of. They are only $1 and can really make an impact on our team. Let's make some noise and make an impact as the "12th Man" on the field.

Middle School Game Coming Up

We can't forget that we have a Middle School game this Saturday as well. Let's show up for it just as like we do for the varsity games. I know we will be tired from Friday's game, but the athletes have worked hard and deserve our praise and support. The Game is this Saturday against Faith in Griffin, GA. It will be a little bit of a drive, but we can do it. The game is currently schedule at 1:00pm. Their website has us down for an 11:00am start time. We are following up and confirming the actual start time. Until further notice, the start time will remain at 1:00pm.

Dear Parents:

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a great summer. We are very excited about this year’s football season. Our boys have been working hard all summer long preparing for the season. Our Cheerleaders and Drumline have also been practicing just as hard and are ready for a great new season. Now, it is time for us, the parents, to do our part and support our children in their endeavors.

Covenant Christian Academy strives to provide quality programs, both academic and athletic, for our children. One of the tools CCA uses to help fund the athletic programs is through concessions at home games. Funds raised through concessions help the school pay for field rentals, the cost of the officials, bus maintenance, cost of gas, etc.

The only way this has been possible is through the help of our wonderful parents. With your help we can have a very successful year and provide our children with great Athletic programs.

Attached you will find a Football Concessions Schedule. You will also find a list of football players, cheerleaders, drumline and a parent name, email and contact number. This concessions schedule will also be posted on our website, http://cca-tdclub.blogspot.com/.
The dates and names have been randomly chosen. If you find you are unable to fulfill your designated time slot, it is YOUR responsibility to find a replacement. If you do not find a replacement and fail to show up, your account will be billed $50.00. If you get a replacement and your replacement does not show, your replacement will be billed $50.00. We do not want to bill the wrong person. It is very important that when you get a replacement, you call either Gina Moore (404-392-3700) or Sandy Casey (770-736-8466) as soon as possible and let them know who the replacement is.

Game DVD's

We are working on a process to produce game DVD's and make them available to parents. We have setup a form off of the TD Club website that we would like you to fill out so that we have a record of what you want. The link can be found under the "Get Connected" section of the website.

Each DVD will be $3 per disk. There is a lot of time that goes into producing the DVDs, hence the minimal charge.

We will try to make the DVD's available by Wednesday of every week. Jim Bliss is being kind enough to video the games and make copies for the coaches. Jerome and I will work together to produce the parent copies. Depending on the demand and our schedules, we will need at least until Wednesday of each week. We will try to have them sooner if at all possible. All DVD's will be left in Coach's classroom for pickup. Please leave your payment with coach or give it to one of the officers when you see us. There are a total of 9 games, if you want to write one check for the entire season, it will be $27. Make checks out to CCA and mention the TD Club in the Memo.

To keep our workload down, we wish to only have to create one DVD per athlete if possible. This will allow us to meet the potential demand for everyone. If additional copies are desired, please me or Jerome and we will work something out. This is why there isn't an option to specify number of copies.

If there are playoff games, we will handle those case by case. Please indicate on the form if you are interested in playoff DVD's. I presume everyone will, but humor me.

Schedule For the Rest of the Week

Coach wanted me to pass along that tomorrow's practice will run a little longer than normal, probably until 5:30pm. He apologizes and understands it is a Wednesday, but he decided it would be better for the athletes to run the defense tomorrow instead of Thursday as previously mentioned. He prefers keeping Thursdays as shorts and pads instead the workout defensive drills gives the athletes.

Touchdown Club Meeting

Come one come all. Come to the Touchdown club meeting tomorrow night to hear Coaches take on the game and how we are going to prepare for North Georgia this coming Friday. Get your burning questions answered that have been on your mind. Middle School Coaches should be there as well to talk about our great game at Lafayette and what to expect the next game.

Labor Day Practice & TD Club Meeting

There will not be practice next Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 seeing this is Labor day. Right now, we will not have the Touchdown Club meeting on this Monday either. We will discuss the merits rescheduling to the next day, Sept. 8, 2009. Stay tuned.

String of Home Varisty Games

I don't know if some of you realize it, but the next five (5) weeks will have us playing four (4) straight home games. The next two will be at 7:00pm and the following two will be at 7:30pm with a bye week on Sept. 11, 2009. Check the TD Club website and CCA's website for more information.

String of Away Middle School Games

Please come out and support your Middle School Football team. They have two (2) more away games before they play Lafayette again at home. Varsity Parents and Family, lets support our Middle School football team by trying to show up to all the games we can. The athletes will get a blast and there is absolutely no reason we cannot have the same level of excitement that we have at the Varsity games.

TD Club Membership Information

To my embarrassment, I think I left one or two folks off my list who joined the TD Club. I apologize. This is only a clerical oversight on my part, not a financial oversight. I will be double checking my list and following up with those I have documented. If you don't get a phone call or email from me by Wednesday and you know you did join, please contact me promptly so I can get you on the list.

Also, I have had a time with ordering the TD Club Membership goodies. Vendors I am trying to get quotes from have all fallen through either for technical issues or otherwise. I do apologize. A decision will be made this week regarding how to proceed and get something in the works.

If you joined at the Touchdown Membership level and have NOT received your game pass and car pass, please see the folks at the front gate for yours. Don't go the next four games without the pass. You cannot get into the games free without them. We will have the passes at this Monday's TD Club meeting as well, so stop by and get your passes.

If you have not joined, please be reminded that there are multiple levels you can join at and be a member of the TD Club. Please prayerfully consider joining and support CCA's Football program. Final thoughts...

I want everyone to know that I sincerely believe, when properly implemented, communication is the cornerstone to success. The more information everyone has, the better one can make decisions for themselves and their family. When we get information at the last minute, we tend to lose the flexibility to make the decisions for ourselves. I promise, as TD Club President and on behalf of the rest of the TD Club Officers, we will strive to keep you informed the best we can. We will diligently insure the information is finalized prior to sending anything out. But as you know, only our Good Lord is Perfect, and I ask for consideration of this fact and that some things will be missed and incorrectly communicated. We ask that you do your part and keep us honest by bringing anything that you feel should be addressed to our attention. We will strive to get you an answer, good or bad, but an answer none the less. Overall, I expect we all will be informed, empowered and positive contributors to the CCA way. Most of all, Jesus, our Lord and Savior will get honor.

Update on Praise Game Today (Still at 5:30pm)

Please note some of the recent developments...

The game is at 5:30pm still, most know that.
The bus will leave the school at 3:00pm today.
The TD Club will provide Subway subs for din-din at no cost today. Choice of Ham & Cheese or Turkey & Cheese. We are ordering 32 Ham and 32 Turkey and your selection is first come first serve. Each athlete (this includes Cheerleaders and Drumline) will get one sub of their choice and include a packet of mayo and mustard, cookie and a water. We will provide these in a brown sack lunch for the athletes to eat at their coaches' discretion.

ATTENTION! Praise Game Time Change - Game at 5:30pm

Praise Game Start Time now at 5:30pm.

The Praise game time has been changed to 5:30pm instead of 7:30pm. Praise was testing their lights and it seems they are not working. Please be advised. Please let everyone you speak to know about the change. We want to make sure everyone knows. I don't want anyone to fall through the cracks.

The team will be leaving the school approximately 1:30 or 2:00pm. Spaghetti will NOT be served tomorrow as planned. We will try to get some Subway sandwiches for the road, but it is short notice. If we cannot get some food, parents will need to make sure the athletes have what they need to get through the game, energy wise.

As details are finalizing, please be mindful of a couple of things.

1. Check the school's website regularly for directions. There are directions posted for the Varsity game Friday night. I heard that we may be playing at their practice field and am not sure if the posted directions are the correct destination. I am assuming it is but will follow-up to confirm and notify you ASAP.

2. Bring lawn chairs to both the Varsity and Middle School (MS) games.

3. MS - Bus is leaving Saturday at 7:00am sharp. Be at the school with all gear by 6:45am.

4. MS - Don't eat or bring snacks. Have them eat a nice breakfast, high in carbs.

5. MS - Bring $10 for a victory meal on the way back.

6. MS - Expect to be back around 1:30pm or 2:00pm at the school.

7. MS - Game Time is 10:00am at Lafayette.

8. MS - can where game jerseys on Friday nights to V games.

9. V - spaghetti served at 3:45ish

10. V - Leave for Praise at 4:45 sharp. Game time is 7:30pm.

This Friday and Saturday will be a lighter load to prepare for but there are still preparations that need to be completed. We will be serving spaghetti again for the athletes, Cheerleaders and Drumline this Friday, so get your's while it lasts. Please come out and see if you can help with the setup, serving and cleanup for this dinner.

Please pray for Amanda Martin and family. Her son was injured this week at practice. We need to make sure we stand in the gap during these times. I don't know much but I believe he will be OK, we just need to pray for them.

Overall, the team was success as was the team that put in a number of hours of planning to make this successfull. There is not enought room here to list out everyone that contributed. The only reason, and I mean only reason, Friday was a success for the Cougar FANS and our Athletes was because so many helped make this a successful night. That is what makes a program and organization successful.

Touchdown Club Meeting Tonight!

Please be there. It will be at 6:00pm in Coach McCready's classroom. We will meet for 1 hour and have Pizza and Drinks to celebrate our victory both on and off the field. We will have a TD Club meeting every Monday night right after football practice unless it is a holiday or half day or not school day. We may or may not reschedule for the following Tuesday.

Tonight we will be covering the following, come out and get your answers and fellowship a little...

1. Recap the game.

2. Preparation for Middle School Game

3. Lessons Learned from Varsity Game (Planning, Fan Experience, etc)

4. TD Club Membership, Get in now!

There will be more that we will cover, but these are some of the basics. Please plan on being a part of the club meetings, they can be very informative and a great time to relax.
